Blecher cierra su etapa final con una promise que la historia de Ichigo merece

Para countless fans who accompanied Ichigo Kurosaki through battles, losses and reunions, the wait is finally reaching its end: the last chapter of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will be released on Sunday, October 26, on Disney+. The anime thus concludes one of the most important journeys in the history of Japanese manga and anime, but does so with a major difference from its first ending: this time, the story arrives at a conclusion.

A return that renewed the series

When Bleach came back in 2022, it did so with a renewed format to adapt the final arc of Tite Kubo's manga, a section that had remained off the screen after the first stage ended in 2012. Studio Pierrot took over production and notably raised the visual quality, a change that allowed the series to recover the relevance it had gradually lost within the shonen genre.

The fourth and final part premiered in July and was initially scheduled to end in September, but the studio postponed the last two episodes to protect the standards it had maintained throughout the season. Chapter 49 was released on October 19, while episode 50 will be available this Sunday, closing a story that had kept its audience waiting for years.

The end of a long journey

With the final episode, the story of Ichigo, the Gotei 13 and the other characters who accompanied generations of readers and viewers since the manga began appearing in the early 2000s reaches its conclusion. Bleach was part of the so-called Big Three of Shonen Jump, alongside One Piece and Naruto, three works that marked a defining era for manga and anime worldwide.

The emotional weight of the closing is considerable, especially for those who remember the 2012 ending and felt frustrated by the unresolved narrative. This second stage, however, presents a complete ending, and all 50 episodes of Thousand-Year Blood War are available on Disney+, where the finale will also be streamed.

“Question I hear among fans is whether this return was enough to close the story as expected, or whether some threads remain loose.”Rosario Escudero, Cultura y espectáculos
